Beschreibung

Information Visualization facilitates the exploration of different significant facts in Electronic Health Records (EHR) using events based groups for stake holders. Single patient data can be visualized in an easier pattern but visualization of multiple patient records leads to complexity of understanding information due to different forms of data set. Doctors as primary, while database administrators and visual designers as secondary stakeholders interact with patient data visualization to provide better health care services at lower budget hospitals. Complex representation of numerical and categorical based events in Electronic Health Records provoke difficulty for handling and execution of visual queries due to poor knowledge, less developed skills, weaker assessment and absence of individual and future perspective related to stakeholders. Current Information Visualization tools and applications provide minimum knowledge pertaining to EHR due to little exploration of facilities based on high cost of IT resources, absence of well trained and skilled IT man power in hospitals, lack of time to grasp the skills to execute visual queries to assess the information for future policies.
